If you have an old boring lamp shade, why not recover it?
steps:
- trace your lampshade with a pencil on the backside of your fabric while rolling the shade.
- cut about an inch away from your lines to give you enough room to tuck the edges under
- fold down one vertical edge and hot glue it to a seam on the shade
- roll the fabric around the shade, and the extra fabric at the end fold under and hot glue down
- fold down ant tuck the extra fabric around the top and bottom of the shade
- hot glue the edges around the top and bottom
- you can add a ribbon around the top and/or bottom to hide edges
I used extra fabric from my dining room chairs to tie the two rooms together.
